In 1998, AHA took title to a failed, privately-owned, HUD foreclosed, 260 unit developments in the Arbor Hill neighborhood. AHA embarked on a $13 million project with tax-exempt bonds, HUD Upfront grant tax credit equity, and Federal Home Loan Bank funds. AHA demolished 120 units, substantially rehabilitated the other 145 units, and built a community building on site. An AHA affiliated non- profit is the General Partner in the Limited Partnership ownership entity.
