Employment Opportunities

Working at AHA

Created in 1948, Albany Housing Authority is overseen by its own Board of Commissioners and is independent from the City of Albany.  While AHA operates independently, we are a Civil Service employer partnering with the City of Albany.  Albany Housing Authority has positions that are classified as Labor, Non-Competitive, and Open-Competitive.

For those positions that are subject to examination, AHA must look to current Civil Service listings of candidates who have already taken the given position exam. For more information on Exam Announcements, go to  https://jobs.albanyny.gov/elist

For positions that are not subject to examination, AHA may post and/or advertise those position openings.

For any position, candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for the job classification to be considered for the position. Please note, every job classification will have different educational, training, and experience requirements that must be met to be appointed.

*If there are no current openings in which you are interested in or meet the minimum requirements, please be sure to join our Talent Community within our Career Center or send your resume to ResumeBank@albanyhousing.org to be considered for future opportunities!
