At the September, 2009, Annual Meeting of the Housing Authority Insurance Group, a company that insures over 60% of the public housing in the United States, the Albany Housing Authority was recognized for exceptional performance in three categories. First, for our overall safety record and minimal level of reported losses, second for fully complying with all recommended standards that apply to controlling risk to our residents and employees, and finally, for demonstrating innovative techniques in providing a safe environment for our residents.
