Office of the General Counsel
The Office of General Counsel has the responsibility for advising and representing the Authority in all legal matters. These matters include such areas as compliance with Federal and State and local Laws and Regulations, Lease enforcement, resident grievances, employee grievances and disciplinary hearings, collective bargaining with Unions representing Authority employees, Equal Employment and Human Rights matters, Contracts with vendors providing goods and services to the Authority.
The Office of General Counsel also works with the Authority Development team with regard to overseeing and coordinating legal issues in connection with the Authority's ongoing programs for acquisition and construction of new affordable housing and the re-habilitation of exiting developments.
The Authority's General Counsel serves as its Freedom of Information Officer. Requests for documents should be directed to him.
